What This App Does

SOTRUST Phone Backup copies your photos, videos, and contacts from your iPhone directly to your own USB drive (OTG). Your data never touches any cloud server — it flows only between your phone and your own drive.

Getting Started (3 Steps)

  1. Allow access — Tap "Allow Full Access" when the app asks for photo library permission.
  2. Connect your USB drive — Plug your dual-connector USB drive into your iPhone (Type-C). Tap "Choose Drive" and select the drive in the file picker.
  3. Tap Backup — The app copies everything not yet backed up. When finished, you'll see a summary report.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why does my backup stop or the drive disappear?
A: The drive may have gone to sleep or been unplugged. Reconnect the drive and tap Backup again — the app remembers what was already backed up and continues from there (incremental backup).

Q: Does the app delete my photos after backup?
A: No. The app never deletes anything automatically. To free up space, use the "Free Up Phone Space" card to open the Photos app and review your backed-up photos manually.

Q: Do I need an account or internet?
A: No. The app works fully offline, requires no sign-up, and has no subscription.

Q: Which drives are supported?
A: Any USB drive with a Type-C connector formatted as exFAT or FAT32. For best performance we recommend the SOTRUST dual-connector (USB-A + Type-C) flash drive.

Q: Where are my contacts backed up?
A: Contacts are exported as a .vcf file into the PhoneBackup folder on your drive. You can open it on any computer to restore.
